Channel 9 Adelaide Football League (trading name of SAAFL Inc) was formed in 1911 and provides and promotes opportunities for individuals in metropolitan Adelaide communities to participate in Australian Rules Football in an accessible and safe environment and uses all profits to assist in developing the League, its clubs, players and its facilities.The League has 66 clubs, 220 teams and 23,000 registered players and officials, and is one of the largest recreational Australian Rules Football Leagues in Australia. There are 110 games played every week of the minor round attracting over 40,000 spectators at Clubs all over the Adelaide metropolitan area. There are 660 official SAAFL umpires ensuring a safe enjoyable game environment.
